Shanesha was onsite working for an incumbent competitor at the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (DHS FLETC) in Brunswick, GA. At DHS FLETC, she oversaw hazardous materials regulatory compliance by performing inventory and auditing tasks. When Cardno EM-Assist displaced the incumbent and won this contract, Shanesha was offered and accepted a position with Cardno EM-Assist – and found herself reporting to a manager located across the country in Layton, UT.

Working remotely:

“I work at a remote site, but Cardno EM-Assist has been great at providing support and making me a part of the team despite the geographic distance. Any initial skepticism I had about working for a company that has multi-site locations has been removed by team members. My co-workers have gone above and beyond in assisting me to help meet our clients’ needs by communicating regularly, utilizing our intranet, and ensuring full participation in all-hands staff meetings.
